Some mothers are so lovely,
Some mothers are so true,
So why then lord do some children
treat their mothers like they do?
Some mothers are so hard to live with,
Some mothers are so mean.
Some children have to do what they need to,to keep their self-esteem.
Some mothers try to do their best to keep
their children safe.
But some children just don't seem to care
or even appreciate.
Some mothers do so many things
like cook and clean and sew.
And even with this all said and done,
we still don't know which to go.
So children when you read this poem,
think of all the things you say and do.
And always remember that this is the only mother that god has given you.
