    Sheer Beauty

To see him move, is like a panther in the wild
Then look into his face, only to see a child - whose heart is pure
Yet unsure - of things to come

To hear a laugh - that invites you to join in his happiness
And see a smile that draws you into his soul
Would probably take it's toll - on most women
Leaving them helpless, and in wonder
    - of how such thunder - could be stored in something so small,
    - and beautiful

But as I talk to, touch, and smell the aroma a rose could never have
I can only wonder if his peddles have been allowed to bloom
Has he been given proper room

    Although his stem is strong
I feel it my not last as long - as it could
    - without the water from my lips, and the sunshine of my smile
To keep it strong just a little while - longer

But this is just a passing thought
For deep down I know that even without my rain, and sunshine
    - he is strong, and will just fine
    For he is Sheer Beauty.
