SEE AND SAY

SO I SAY AND I SEE
WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR ME

I TRIED TO RUN AN BE FREE
FROM MY GOD WHO LOVES ME
ETERNALLY.......

I RAN SO HARD TRYING TO HIDE
FROM GOD WHO LIVES INSIDE

RAN SO HARD I TRIPPED
OVER THE ONE CALLED HE
FELL ON MY FACE
SCRAPPED UP MY KNEE
LIFE WAS OUT OF PLACE
BUT THUR HIS GRACE
I RETURNED
AND BECAME STRONG AGAIN TO WIN IN THIS HUMAN
RACE......

SO I SEE AND I SAY.......
PLEASE LET ME PRAY

LORD FORGIVE ME MY WEAKNESS
WITHOUT YOU IN MY LIFE
IT'S A MESS WITH YOU I FEEL BLESS
AND THE BLOOD THAT COVERS ME IS MY WEDDING DRESS
I AM MARRIED TO JESUS I AM HIS WIFE
EVEN THOUGH LIFE IS FULL OF STRIFE

I WAS NO DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER I WANTED A PARTNER MAYBE FRIEND OR A SECRET LOVER IN LIFE AND DIDN'T WAIT ON GOD SO I ACTED IN SIN FOR THE FLESH DID YEARN BUT A LESSON I DID LEARN AND THATS WHY THESE TEARS BURN CAUSE IN SIN YOU JUST CAN'T WIN

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
