Sand
If my love were a grain of sand
I'll bring back every bit
from there to here
to around the world
I give all my love to you
and with the sand
I'll build a castle
for all of those to see
and make them jealous
of you plus me
Sand
If my love were a grain of sand
I'll bring back every bit
from there to here
to around the world
I give all my love to you
and with the sand
I'll build a castle
for all of those to see
and make them jealous
of you plus me

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
