This morning I stumbled across a single moment where I found myself back in time. I wasn't meditating nor reminiscing, just simply going on with my busy day. I manage to go back to the exact moment as I held each one of my children when they were infants. I found myself drawn into the smell of their hair as I kissed the top of their little heads. I embraced their entire being in my arms, as their tiny little bodies sunk deeper and deeper into my chest. At that very moment ,I could remember the exact feel and smell that brought me pure joy. I could remember how proud and excited I was to have them in my life. Although I have 5 children, I some how managed to experience them all at once in the mist of a second. I found myself in the moment back in time and I loved every minute.

Anyone can have a memory, but how often do we actually go back in time and relive an experience that was one of the many highlights of our lives? I did, and it was wonderful.

They are now 5,5,8,10 & 19. The 4 younger ones still climb in my lap and curl up as I wrap my arms around them and kiss the top of their heads and I'm brought as much joy now as it was then, and it's wonderful.
