Reaper
the world
is going to hell
and
we're in
the cheap seats
every step we take
takes us closer
to the grave
it's all terminal
and I'm sure
I ' m G o n n a d i e
the day before
they find
the cure
for death
W h a t n o w ?
the gods ~
have all
gone
and
there's
no-one
to worship
I n a w i l d e r n e s s
o f m i r r o r s
secrecy is myth
solitude an illusion
no one
is coming
to save us
we are
the leaders
the liberators
the revolutionaries
our ancestors
prayed for
we are our own
s a l v a t i o n
Peace
ain't always peaceful
V i o l e n c e :
grows between the cracks
of discontent
Different mask same face
Different hunt same chase
Different cause same case
Different flava same taste
Different skin same race
One's entire life
compressed
into one
final breath
e x h a l e d
t h e n :
like magic
you're gone
you never existed
the only evidence
that premisses
one was here
are the footprints
m a d e
on ground
once walked on
t h e r e a p e r c o m e s :
and again
we still
ain't
r e a d y
