My name is Renee Stinson. I live in Washington, DC. I have been writing since I was 12 years old. I am trying to write my own poetry book called Poetic Messages. I really enjoy writing poetry because it gives me a chance to open my mind to something else other than staying in my own little world. I write my poems based on what i feel, see, think about, hear, talk, want, dreams, and all of my aspirations. My inspiration to write has always been my grandmother, who passed away when I was 14 years old. When she passed, it gave me the strength to keep writing and to show that world that I am more than just a pretty face.
