Past time
Thoughts of you run away,to better times and brighter days.
A time when you weren't hidden in a place,
where I couldn't see your wonderous face.
All alone in your cell is a place you call home,
when will you break free and once again roam.
Will your heart be shattered of loneliness,
will you ease all the worries and stress.
You call upon Him in a darkened world,
he answers you to tell you what you are told.
Hang on brother for I am here,
waiting patiently with quiet tears.
Hearts are broken, dreams are lost,
the day you left is when you found God.
But how long I ask will you hold on to Him,
how long will you hold him within.
Your spirit is once again pure,
but is this a path that is for sure.
Put down the beer, and the past,
look to the future with Him at last.
I went through turmoil being with out you,
your my brother what more can do without you?
I was 14 and lost and confused,
you were 21 damaged by abuse.
Our parents were horrible in every sense of the word,
they ruined our lives and damaged our world.
Pain subsides as we continue to hide,
the pain we hold deep inside.
But let loose I say amd call upon The Lord,
Because with Him I feel loved and adored.
When I feel alone and blue,
I remeber the man that created me and you.
It's his love and ours that keeps us strong,
no matter our faults and our wrongs.
