    OUR TIME

Our time was spent with laughs and smiles.
Alone we shared our hearts and wilds.
Lust and passion was in your arms.
I found my freedom with in your charm.
My nightly dreams took me afar.
I yearned for your touch within the dark.
A heated passion was your embrace.
Your taste and feel, my heart would race.
My mind still wanders to that time
When lust and love would entwine.
My pulse still quickens at the thought,
Upon soft skin was your touch.
Our time has past, of what was once.
The distance of land we stand beyond.
My memories of then will be of us.
Along with my heart, to you I entrust.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
