Opening Up
the dreams that were shattered,became fussed once again,
the hopes that were taken,
have been renewed again,
I hid my heart for oh so long,
I kept it in the shadows,
I began to think there was no love,
for me to gain again,
but life decided to give me time,
and give me one more chance,
I opened my heart to only one,
I did so, so afraid,
I began to smile and began to cry,
this feeling I have is real,
I finally allowed you into my life,
I didn't know this would be,
I had only thought that love like this,
only happens in fairytales,
I look into you eyes,
I see the dreams,
we both want to have together,
I learned that it was time for me,
to give my heart up fully,
You have my heart,
You have my love,
you can tear them up so easily,
I give you the keys,
to my heart and my dreams,
I hope you give me yours,
you have these things,
the choice is yours,
they can be broken so think about it,
I never thought I would feel this again,
never thought I would be love,
please treat them with care,
treat them with love,
treat them with caution,
treat them with loving arms,
I give it all to you,
I give you all of me,
because honestly,
you're the only one I'll ever need.
