    one last call

    it's hard to understand
the fear i have of loosing you
being that you were never mine.

    it's hard to understand
the feelings we had for each other
being that they were all in my mind.

    it's hard to remember
the times we were so close
and now i feel you so far away.

    i had my chance
    but I didn’t say a word.
the only words I can think of now
    are…I LOVE YOU.

if I could only have one more opportunity
of having you at my side
    i wouldn’t say a thing
i would only hug you tight.

then you’d feel my heart beating
    for you and you alone.
    only that way you’d know
exactly what I want to say.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
