Ode to Keuka Lake
Keuka Lake so deep and blue,
So many watch out over you
Your waves so small
Yet strong as that of racing horses
Heart
While standing on a hill
You can smell the lake as the breeze
Carries it out to the lands surrounding it
At the right time
And the right seasons
You’ll have reasons to
Look at its beauty
In the winter
A magnificent yet chilly
Blanket of snow lines the Lake
In the fall colorful leaves
Allow the lake to look
Orange and yellow
In the summer you see
Hills of green
And white boats skimming
Across the deep blue
Stem of Keuka Lake
If you’re looking for a
View allow me to tell you
Go to a hill known
As bully at the top
The view will make you say “holy”
Keuka lake so deep and blue
So many look out over you
Now I stand and give you a hand
So many watch out over you
Your waves so small
Yet strong as that of racing horses
Heart
While standing on a hill
You can smell the lake as the breeze
Carries it out to the lands surrounding it
At the right time
And the right seasons
You’ll have reasons to
Look at its beauty
In the winter
A magnificent yet chilly
Blanket of snow lines the Lake
In the fall colorful leaves
Allow the lake to look
Orange and yellow
In the summer you see
Hills of green
And white boats skimming
Across the deep blue
Stem of Keuka Lake
If you’re looking for a
View allow me to tell you
Go to a hill known
As bully at the top
The view will make you say “holy”
Keuka lake so deep and blue
So many look out over you
Now I stand and give you a hand
