OBSESSION

No silence in the quiet of the night,
Only the sound of your name echoing
Within the crypts of my delirious mind,
Reverberating like screams of specters
Haunting under cloaks of insanity,
Never ceasing, yearning for calm within,
Without hope for any appeasement,
When uncertainty muffles every sigh,
Reduced into whispers of helplessness,
While the cold draft breathes your name to my ear;
No stillness in the depths of midnight,
Only the movement of my restive heart,
Its beatings timed with the endless echoes
Of your name within the mind without peace

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
