I am a ghost in my own lifeephemeral, drifting through the same day
over and over and over
rage and frustration build
until I want to scream, to smash
to assert my existence in some meaningful way

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
