    Natures Actions and Me

    Natures Actions and Me
    By: Dwion E. Johnson

Here is the moon that I hold in my hands.
There is the sun blazing my back.
I am the breeze is the sky flowing between them.
She is my love wrapped around my heart.
He is the jealousy hating from miles away.
I am the blessed one who is receiving the attention.
Here is the clouds crying its pain
There is the volcano erupting in fiery
I am the one taking the blame
She cries because I left her
He rejoices in deceitful victory but cries for his lost bounty.
I lay waiting to be reunited with my love

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
