    • writes as a release, that is what has gotten me this far in life, some I can write here, but most are personal reminders of past and future and an outlet to make better choices these days.

    My Own Little Secret

As through the woods I wander
    Looking behind the trees......for you.
I hear the thunder up above
Your not there behind and I know.

i pick up pace and begin to run from nothing
but towards you, You are not to be found,
Your not there and I know.

    You finally moved on
but I can still feel your love
           surrounding me.

    No one sees my pain
    It's all locked up inside
My own little piece of you.

The rain begins to pour and I stop
    I look into the sky
    stop dead in my tracks
I fall to my knees and I cry

I cry for the love that I've lost,
The love of my life is gone
    I sent him away

now I endure the silent pain
but in the woods my tears can flow

    Noe one can see,
    No one can hear
No one knows how I still love you.....so

    I will always love you

    shhhhhhhhhhhhh

    My own little secret.

I really liked this poem, especially how you used the woods to be your own little hiding place to show your true feelings normally hidden, very good write. Thanks =]

Thank you, I feel you have your own little patch of woods.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
