    Lover's Plea

The sun rises upon seeing your face. So why is it that I feel so out of place? Why is it that I strain to find your love? Why is it that you put me before noone above? Your lover, your friend, your confidant...Isn't that what I have been from the start? To cherish, to hold, to see things through...what else is it that I have to prove to you? Why push away what could and should be? Why make it a point of confusing me? To the end of this journey I will ride with you. But until you say the word...there's nothing more that I can do.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
