    Lonely Heart

I'm not just a Lonely Heart.
My mind has made me much too smart,
All the hurt this Heart's endured,
You think by now I'd surly be cured.

This Ole Heart has no cure indeed,
My Mind; in fact makes this Heart speed.
And when I look into your eye's!
Our Heart's an Mind's seem two colide.

Yet I can't give up this pain in my Heart.
So this eye contact must never start.
I will walk away with my eye's down low,
So I won't endure the pain.....
    That I have always Known!!!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
