    Lilac

Lilac, my cousin told me, tastes like cheese, cold cheese mixed with ice cream,

Swan lake, that smells like coffee, always Starbucks, white mocha frappachino, always,

Apple pie, apple pie feels like a freshly bought tennis ball, at the very moment it connects with the strings,

suede, Suede is always a treat, it looks like turquoise, sometimes it looks murky green,

Tic tacs, they always just look like tic tacs, smell and taste like tic tacs, but sound like cymbals.

You, you smell like moss, and dusty books, and caramel, and something else I jut cannot tell.

    a very interesting metaphor!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
