    Just Me, just me

    Nobody sees me
They see the girl that they want me to be.
    I say I'm just me.

    Nobody sees me
They expect the perfect side of me.
    I say I'm just me!

    Nobody sees me.
    How can that be.
    Nobody sees me
    I'm finally free to be
    ....just me....

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
