    Introduction

There's a method to my madness, as I smash this,
Let me introduce myself as not just the baddest,
    But fantastic,
Gotcha outta fresh breath like asthmatic,
    One of a kind,
    Never again will you find
Someone so well worth the time,
Still in my Prime with an Optimus rhyme,
Only thing I'm stoppin is time at the drop of a dime.
Like the brake pads was fresh off the line.
Don't be too quick to judge me in this time and place,
I'm just an unfamiliar face a few steps behind tryin to pick up my pace.
Gone with out a trace, I am the turtle in the race,
But beware just in case, in my sleeve I hold an ace,
Unrecognized, I am not the same,
I am just a name in this poetic life of a game.
Such a shame the way it's played,
Not willing to fade no matter how much I'm being paid,
Never will say that I should have stayed,
No matter how much I ache there is more I'm willing to take,
So step up with a shot you wanna make,
    A shot you wanna take,
Maybe after 3 swings at it I'll be crossin you like home plate

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
