Insomnia
Oh Insomnia my old friend. How long has it been
Two three maybe four days.
I've lost count.
I am weary yet
you whispered in my ear
so loud the I could not lay
my head to rest.
I didn't ask you to come.
I didn't wait all night just
to feel the heaviness of
your breathe raise me
I am tired
I drempt last night
of cars and plays
and smoking cigarettes
Running in the streets
worried we wouldn't
Make it to the show
on time.
But now
ranting raving
as fast as my fingers
can cling to my thoughts
I can sleep
I will Sleep
I've got a breakfast date
with my baby boy.
