    Inner Wisdom

An old friend, visited me, this morning,
she stops by, when some things,
    are just not right.

I'm never sure, when she coming,
but she wakes me & tells me,
    to look into her eyes.

Well when I was a kid,
I used to run from her,
    when I was a child,
    I used to hide.

    But now, as a woman,
I listen, and look straight into her eyes,
Because I have gotten to know her
She's my personal inner wisdom, I finally realize.

Sweet write! I like the content of looking inside at oneself and here every time I do, I want to change something else! Go figure!

Much insight here. We learn to listen to the inner voice after the experiences of life encountered when we did not.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
