In Memory Of Irene Martin
I will always remember you no matter how long we are apart.
You were always there for me even when I was at my worst
I may never have been what you hoped I would be yet you loved me none the less
We have shared too much and that will always last.
Planting vegetables in the back yard picking the fruit from the trees
Making wool dogs on the back porch corsages in the dinning room
Long conversations in the kitchen teaching me of who I should be
Always willing to help me understand.
You have laughed and cried with me
Willing to sacrifice yourself for me when we thought I would not last.
I was always in your prayers and you were always in mine
You were my best friend, a mother and I called you Grandma.
You were always the stable one in my life always a phone call away
Always willing to tell me the facts no matter how hard they may be
You have wanted nothing but the best for all of us and I hope this will come to be
I never wanted to let you down
You held this family together with love and determination
Though your world was never easy your pain more then you could sometimes bear
There was nothing that could compare to the strength you taught me
I hope one day I can be at least half of who you were to me if not more.
I did not want to let you go and miss you so much
Though I know you would never willingly leave us it was your time to go
But through this time apart there is something I hope you will always know
I love you Grandma with all my heart.
You were always there for me even when I was at my worst
I may never have been what you hoped I would be yet you loved me none the less
We have shared too much and that will always last.
Planting vegetables in the back yard picking the fruit from the trees
