Imago Dei

I can bandage a wound
And advise those who are ill
But that doesn't make me The Healer

I can write an inspiring verse
And birth rhymns of reflection
But that doesn't make me the Master of Imagination

I can embrace a newborn
And nurse a child's need for food
But that doesn't make me The Creator of Life

I can pour my heart into another
And give more than I even have
But that doesn't make me the Author of Love

The Healer, Master, Creator, and Author...God
is reflected in me
Somehow I am His moon...His mirror of Himself
So this is what it means to be made in His image
Myself has never been more beautiful to me
As when I look and see Jesus underneath
