I Never Thought
This poem is for Rita and all the little things in life we never thought we could feel until a piece of ones life is gone.
I never thought that I could love someone like I loved you.
I never thought that I wanted to see someone as much as I do you.
I never thought I would long to hear someones voice as I do yours.
I never thouhght I would miss the dollar store trips.
I never thought I would miss your silly dance moves.
I never thought that the days would continue to go by.
I never thought that I would feel so empty without you.
I never thought I would lose you so soon.
I never thought that goodbye could be so painful, yet I feel free
