I am a treerooted in the Earth
branches reaching for the sky
I bear fruit of nutritious knowledge
I reflect the seasons of life
My strong limbs provide shade for the weary
and I am a child's fortress.

in a scholarship writing class i was asked to create a metaphor for myself. this is how I would like to see myself.rooted in the Earth
