I am a tree
I am a treerooted in the Earth
branches reaching for the sky
I bear fruit of nutritious knowledge
I reflect the seasons of life
My strong limbs provide shade for the weary
and I am a child's fortress.
I am a tree
I am a treeTo have great poets there must be great audiences too.
Walt Whitman, American Poet (1819-1892)
