How I imagined you
I IMAGINED YOU IN MY ARMS,
IN MY DREAMS.
I SAW YOU RUNNING IN THE PARK,
SO SIMPLE, SO SMALL.
I HAD YOU INSIDE ME,
FOR SO LONG.
I IMAGINED YOU IN YOUR ROOM
SLEEPING, WITHOUT GUILT.
I IMAGINED YOUR FACE,
AN ANGEL,
BEAUTIFUL.
I SAW YOU IN MY DREAMS.
I DREAMED OF YOU CALLING ME WITH YOUR TEARS
MY SON, WHEN YOU LIVED.
WHAT A SHORT LIFE.
I IMAGINED YOU GROWING UP
AND LEARNING ABOUT LIFE.
I THOUGHT I COULD HEAR YOUR FIRST WORDS.
I THOUGHT I COULD SEE YOU TAKE YOUR FIRST STEPS.
I IMAGINED YOU PLAYING GROWN UP.
I IMAGINED LAUGHING AT YOUR ADVENTURES.
I THOUGHT I COULD I HEAR YOU SAYING “I LOVE UOU“.
I THOUGHT I COULD SEE A ROSE FOR MOTHER’S DAY.
I THOUGHT I COULD RECEIVE A KISS,
A GIFT,
A HUG,
FROM YOU.
I IMAGINED YOU ALL GROWN UP.
MY SON HOW I IMAGINED YOU!.
AS HOPE IN MY LIFE,
AS THE ANGEL OF MY HOUSE,
AS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING IN MY LIFE.
BUT I WAKE UP,
AND REALIZE MY DREAM DID NOT COME TRUE.
AND NOW ALL I HAVE LEFT IS YOUR EMPTY ROOM,
AND YOUR CLOTHES, AND YEARS OF MEMORIES,
MY SON,
OF WHEN YOU WERE BORN.
