Hopelessness

Hopelessness

Hopelessness, oh what a feeling

To have hopelessness is not so appealing

For days on end I wondered if this feeling would ever go away

So I fell to my knees and began to pray

I am so sad, I am so blue---

I just don't know what to do

Then I prayed another prayer that the Lord will get me through

I prayed that I wouldn't pull the trigger

But my thought of ending it all kept getting bigger

Lord forgive me if I follow through

I ran out of patient, instead of running to you

wow...the ending is so deep...there is so much faith in u that I'm so glad to have noticed...u get the whole idea of trusting God and I love how u always express that trust in ur poems...especially in this one...this is so beautiful and powerful as well...

i think the title is very appropriate for the feelings here, well written and a sorrowful joy to read.

You I read this and I also read your other work, to be honest I felt and liked the oppeness if there is a such a word. Very open and honest, and maybe overwhelming, and thats in a good way. Thank you man keep writing.

Very good Seven, very honest. I can feel the hopelessness in the aura, I hope that if this is a real feeling for you, that you are able to turn towards God instead of giving up. Great job on the poem, and good for you for staying so strong!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
