HOLLOW BLOOD

HOLLOW BLOOD

As the darkness falls, i tremble so
I am all alone with no place to go
Looking around i sense depraved fear
Gross shadows form without shape
It seems the unknown is very close
my legs are weak without movement
I see a distant light from a far
a fog appearing from nowhere
something telling me i must run
but all i can do is drop to the ground
thats when i see the blood running
coming from nowhere it seems
then i wake up realizing it was only a dream

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
