His Misery Song
He stands in the only place we'll never knowKeeping the secrets that he won't show
Oh, little boy, won't you stay
Before your dreams start to fade away
His silence is deafening and his hands are weak
He tries to help, but he cannot speak
Tremble in the lamp light of alleys so cold
And think of the streets paved in gold
The angle's wings will soon descend
To take away your troubled friend
Left in a world that doesn't see
The horrible acts beseeched to me
Don't run, little boy, tomorrow will come
But your misery song, I'll continue to hum
With eyes that linger and hands that hold
Watching the little boy who's heart was sold
Death was welcomed with what it would bring
Shrouded in light, upon the wing
Now fly, little boy, through clouds of white
And forget the pain that happened last night
