    Gypsy

You know that I am sunlit water
    although mysterious moonlight
    paints my path

The sand and I are always shifting
    following the silver stars
My lullabys are sung by seagulls
and I tell time by whipporwills

You may think I am always leaving
But I know I am always headed home

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
