    Glass Eyes

    Glass Eyes

    Glass eyes
    That see the world
    Through blurred vision
    Glass eyes
    That sees hope
But don't know how to reach
    Glass eyes
    That you can see straight
    To the soul
    Eyes that feel pain
    Eyes that show
    Give me mercy
    Glass eyes
    That says let me free
    And let me be
    Break the fog that's
    Been blinding me

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
