    Four Years Ago

Four years has passed without great ease
With good times and bad, trying to live what we believe
How could I have known that my love would grow to this
That a love for one woman could truly exist

I am sorry for the troubles that I have put you through
The first year, the hard one, was a test if love was true
Although I do believe that our love did dwindle
Only to need a little work to again rekindle

The flame we started four years ago
To love each other and to let the other know
When we joined our love on that beautiful day
Together with God we vowed to stay

I cannot express how grateful I am for you
To have a wife so determined to show me the truth
And to live by Torah even though all alone
With the light of Yawshua you filled this home

The greatest of mothers cannot compare
To the love of one mother who will always share
The truth of our Messiah to her little ones
To guide them from the worldly shuns

I love you Angel my wife for our love did forgo
    From the beginning

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
