HI all OP poets!
This is a new page that can be utilized by OP poets. Teardrops and ginga are the moderators. One day we got chatting and decided to share some ideas. I (ginga), said to Teardrops, "Wouldn't it be fun to display 2 poems on one page written by 2 different OP poets?" We agreed and 2poemsforu was born. We are posting our 2 poems here simultaneously for all to enjoy. They are titled: "Moonlight Madness" and "The Swimmer." We feel that there is a common thread concerning the joy of swimming in the ocean and both contain tension and desire, yet in different ways. We invite poets to come and submit poems to be posted starting Sept 1st. We want to post 2 poems written by 2 different OP poets and post them together. We ask only that the 2 poets contact one another and agree to this. Once they have chosen 1 poem each they will send it Private Message to 2poemsforu These 2 poems would have to have some similarities. It could be the genre, writing style, emotions, tone/mood, character(s), events or philosophies. Submissions must contain the username of the poet, the title of the poem, and the other poet's username who is posting alongside them. It would be nice if poet(s) included a written commentary to be included in the commentary section, although that is not required. First come first posted for September. Poets, please submit the 2 poems fairly close in time period meaning on the same day, The deadline for submissions for September is August 30th. This is NOT a contest or competition. Ratings will be turned off. Comments are welcome. We kindly ask for submissions/comments that are not vulgar or offensive to others here on OP. This feature will last for as long as there is interest and commentators to run it. Right now Teardrops and ginga are excited about getting this onboard! Have fun and put 2poemsforu on your friends list. Hope to see one of your poems in the mailbox!

what a fun idea by two of my fav poets! awesome! What about posting one poem written by two different poets, does this meet your criteria for the new page? I will most definitetly be by to check it out! Purity of the soul, journey well!!! with grace and humility ANGEL

Hi Angel,
You have a fine idea there since many of us on OP are collaborating. Please be patient with your idea as we would like to see if we can display the 2 poems by 2 different poets for the time being. Once we get some activity then we can post in the Forums your idea of posting collaboration poems here too.I guess I am saying one idea at a time, but your suggestion is well taken. Let's how popular the 2poems idea is and the we can go from there.
