Hey I've writtein like 30 some poems so far and got maybe 9 reads. Thems ain't good odds. lol

My poem, "Imagine Not Going To War" has 92 comments in 14 days.

With numbers like that, no, I don't think the site is starting to suck.

I would have to say this site is the single best site for poetry for the 21st century! The collection of poets here is admazing, from novice level, to published professionals, to even the level of teachers. I have found the best way to get reviews is to give them, the more time you spend spreading the joy so to say the more peole will take to the time to return the favor. Also it helps to post a message on the forums asking poets for a read as well as send a quick PM to all your friends, they don't always know when you have new work unless you tell them. Just food for thought, hope it helps. Purity of the soul, journey well!!!

In all fairness, this site is large, which is a wonderful rpoblem to have. yet, a problem it still is. while we have the oppertunity to take in a vast richness from the world around, we must also try.

this site is deep. tread the water. send requests to friends to read, maybe suggest they pass the word on. go out of your way to read other poems. Other poets do get curious and pop onto your page.

You need to work on your network. Dah didnt get 92 comments in 14 days by posting and forgetting. keep at it, and this site will be all the larger and better because of it!

yep the best way to get reads is to send pms asking ppl to read ya and offering to read their as well. on my poem LOST sOULS i've got 122 reads and i had 100 within in a week. but i dont think any of my poems have under 20 reads. because i ask ppl to read them. i love reading comments.
