BALLAD OF AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE

Arts and entertainment...

Well, Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall and he fell, but somebody scooped
him up and made an omelet.
Now, you’re asking how many were left handed….well, none of
them were….they were all underhanded.
I think old Al missed his target and shot himself in the foot, so everybody
took off running. Later that day
Al was seen crawling over the wall looking for his football….the trouble
with that was Charlie Brown had
conked Lucy on the head with it so she flattened him and the football
too…..
Am I getting close yet, Cousin ?

How about this mystery that the detectives failed to solve

Five men sat on a wall;
Al Capone killed one,.
None killed Al Capone.
All the men ran,
How many" was" left?

RE: Gogant has a riddle...

Cousin......."Ice" was to simple....I thought it would be more complicated.
I can't imagine what could go up, up, and never come down......I just hope
I never have to experience that scenario.....

Keep trying, My Friend, Keep trying,
Keep trying, in your backyard..
Put an ice pack on your head,
Place a mask over your nose
Light a fire to find the key,
The fireman may be alarmed.
Keep trying ,My Friend,
The answer's got to be somewhere,
In the clouds, in the air.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
