NADIA ANJAMAN

This is slightly old news, I wrote it last year, I found her story;
devastating:
I read it at the library when I was a library pc user, searching poets.
She was a poet journalist, killed because of her poetry:

TO BE LIKE NADIA ANJAMAN

Listen my fellows to these cellos
The suppressed women of the Afghanistan tide
Drug addict Daddies, drug addict husbands
don’t want anyone to see the beauty, aside
the success of their daughters or wives
These young girls, child brides, burn themselves alive
Just desiring their lives to be recognized
Ironic- now their scars show them very recognized
They veil their non-pride and their face and eyes
The only place to go is where their bad feelings reside

They want to be laughing, and joking
Do you realize their haunting sorrow?
They have no control over their body
What day do they have in tomorrow?

I hope this poem shows it
They just want to be like a poet
Like Nadia Anjaman, have ya heard?
They want their freedom to be lived
Not for their freedom to be murdered
What does this teach us?
I hope their voices reach us

RE: NADIA ANJAMAN

We must continue to perpetuate memories, by paying tribute to literary heroes and heroines of art and music of the past and of the present. What better tool or weapon or medicine has the world to give hope of life to the human spirit than the symbols of time and immortality, than the evidences of creative energy, music, and poetry?
Wordsllinger, this felt- lament, an outpouring of your spirit to advocate justice for poets and writers is worthy to be numbered among hundreds of humnitarrian pleas for freedom of speech all over the world.

YEAH, she was, John. Regrettably, I know little or nothing about her. I invite you to read my, "THE DIVA IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE DIVA." She was a fighter for justice , dignity and equal rights in America, in her singing all over the USA, and her acting in Hollywood.
