RE: Getting your new poem noticedI would have to agree with Mr.Bear. In the time I have been on this site, which has been since the start of the year, I have noticed a lot of courtesy comments. I have also experienced the 'cold shoulder', if you will. |

RE: Getting your new poem noticedI am so grateful for the kindness of the poets on originalpoetry.com. I have gotten comments where the critic encourages me to view specific poems on their page that are similare or somehow respond to the poem I had posted. The fact that they take the time to comment, share constructive feedback and reference their own work and how it may be something I'd enjoy, make me WANT to go read their work. I try to randomly just read new posts and comment on them. I hope that this will attract some movement to my own work. So far, it's been pretty slow in getting anyone to notice my work, but when they do it means so much to me. I find that people are honest. No one usually says "that poems crap" but they might say "I've read several of your poems and this one just doesn't speak to me like the others do, not one of your better peices of work." |

RE: Getting your new poem noticedI believe that poems will be heard because of that quiet destiny which unites....so I would say forgo contrived petty notices and just let it be..... Last edited by epiksonik 06-24-2010 at 03:40:05 AM |
Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
