I don't mean this to sound rude, or harsh, but why do parents of fallen soldiers want to render their son's deaths so meaningless like that?

A Green Beret's Father Speaks

I think you said it : The Father feels as if his son's life was sacrificed for an undefined cause
and he wants to spare others the same pain - and to reach out to the powers in charge for an explaination as to what did he actually die for and the cookie cutter " he died for
the war on terror and to protect the homeland and better we fight them there than here - I think he thinks - is not holding water anymore "

I think he deserves his answer first and the other families next and then the rest of us third --

what the hell is going on over there -- how long will it last -- what happens when we leave --

don't we have a right to know -- we don't know because they don't know either -- the proof to that is everyday there is a new idea as to what we should do --

what do you think we should do after 8 years ????? another 8 ?

I mourn for the soldier and his family but we all need to know ........
