Readers' Awards/Marathon

I think it would be nice to award poets that read their minds silly on poems.
I,, for one have read numerous poems, but no award for me, but the point is, poets like
Hampton, Dah, Tempy, JadeMelissa, and many many more needs an award for being the epitome of Op, ...

I was once known for reading everyone, so I just thought it would be a good idea, also maybe have a reading marathon, one day, most poems read and commented on.
Just for the Glory , Glory is all that we will ever cherish anyway.
Also a note Izzy Gumbo told me once and it refreshed my look on poetry, it is nice to see a fresh poem on a poets page, its like fresh out of the oven, so Pac you know what that means so, keep up the good work,

We've discussed the idea of "rate the rater" and things like that. But we never really settled on anything. I know there have been some past discussions also about things like that. I don't know if that's the only way to "reward" the reader though.

I know there are a lot of people that would LOVE to have more feedback, and less praise on their poems also. Maybe there could be some kind of group or section somewhere that one could go to get in contact with someone who is known for good critiques and being an active reader?

I also think that these active readers should be able to gain some exposure for their own poems to be read.

What other thoughts are there on this? I'd like to see a lot of ideas if you anyone has them.

That is a neat suggestion Wordslinger. I caught the weekly tip in my email (thank you fyi) about being more honest in critique with less praise and comments on flow hehehe I probably up there in the top ten giving pats on the back and padding feelings when in return that is of no help for growth. Thanks again. Lesson learned!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
