go figure

go figure

my brother was killed on 9-11
when two planes flew into
the twin towers - has was an
FDNY Captain

we are supposedly -
fighting a global
war to kill, capture and
punish those responsible
- the body count (everywhere)
rises daily

before i board an airplane
i must remove my sandals,
belt, watch and wallets
to make sure i'm safe

yesterday they released
the man convicted of
blowing up an airliner
with 270 aboard - all died
he served 8 years out
of a life sentence

i read his freedom
was negotiated in
return for a big
oil contract

Re: go figure

My sincere condolences poetograhy.
Unfortunately, the more things change, the more they remain the same.

thank you - forces bigger than planes killed those people and him - i know it - but we chase the mirage and not the root.. whatever.............

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
