For This Was I Born (c)
Maybe it was to preachOr maybe it was to sing
Maybe it was to make you laugh
With the joy I bring
Maybe it was to shout out loud
Or simply just to stand
All I know is that I was born
To have a mic in my hand.,,,
For This Was I Born (c)
Maybe it was to preachPoetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
