Poem Commentary

This is another poem I wrote when I was in in Indiana.....yea...you can tell that I hated it over there =(

Fly, Fly Back Home

I search and search,
For a way back home.
But everywhere I turn,
I stand alone.

I see the snow fall,
And the sky gray.
The sun used to shine everywhere I go,
It was never this way.

As days go by,
And the nights roam,
I dream to fly,
to fly away home.

Great poem and expression of such strong emotions and longing for home

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
