Fibrodilusion
Freeze ivory frame with whispers of winter,
tilt me sideways, enter my splinter.
Tingling, shooting, throbbing, jabbing,
numbness, twitching, burning, stabbing.
Concrete replaces blood in my vein,
paralyzing affliction, daunts me insane.
Skin sensitivity, chronic fatigue,
lab rat remedies, hints of intrigue.
Incurable vexation, touched by light,
Helios's deterrent to human blight.
Epitome of debilitating frustration,
gives way to, concise salvation.
Warm my bones, stretch golden finger,
dissipate pain which tends to linger.
If for only a moment, a breath to catch,
allay an itch, flesh can not scratch.
Credible illusion, game of preservation,
confound my body, mental preparation.
Respiration halt, exhaled sigh,
vanished respite, blink of the eye.
Regress to darkness, whence I ascended,
lights, touch, sound; not recommended.
Glimpse of Heaven, daily validation,
majestic kiss, spiritual medication.
