    Enchanted Soul

    Deep within her enchanted soul
She feel sthe weight of the one
    Who takes her through life
    So raggedly touching
The blue interiors of velvet drapes
    And valleys of Love.

    Keeping hold of herself
She reaches the time of her life
That she can share with her soulmate
    Of years to dream.

    Inspired by flight
She carries the love of a babe
    In her mature being
    While she remains a child
    Within herself as well.

Take her to where your rivers flow
And she will glide you through
    Glistening pastures of true identity
Pulling the strings of a harp
    Singing a lullaby of light.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
