Eclipse
The moon is in crescent formMy heart beats in excitement
I run along the woods
Waiting for my limbs to warm
Men in hoods,
They know my secret
And I know theirs
There is a sudden enlightenment
One I cannot explain
My body screams, collapsing, unfair
I embrace the change
Becoming something no one can contain
The amber fur exclaims through my skin
Eyes the color of an empty night
My heart eclipses within
Torn dress lies beneath leaves, half in the river
A growl forms in my throat
Anger filling my lungs, so hot I can't shiver
Howling at the moon
Loud and powerful
Running quick in to the night.
