Poem about moving on... Finally!

Drawer

I keep you hidden away

In a drawer

Are pictures, messages, memories and things

I used to adore

But you can throw it all away

I don’t need it anymore

All the things that you ever said

Doesn’t mean what it meant before

Because everything was fake

Everything you are

Isn’t worth what I thought you were

I keep you hidden away

Because now it’s some other day

I’m a new girl

With goals and Hopes and dreams and things

To shine from my soul

I keep you hidden away

In a drawer

I don’t open anymore

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
