Disregard

Live and love while you still can;
for nothing's as fragile as a man.

Confined, resigned... Thats what I am
Mankind's inclined to hate its damned.

It's hard to say some must impart
That treacherous thing that some can't start

Hate creates this bitter heart
whilst remaining in hades is where I'm marked.

Labeled, assigned, before they know
Who I am and where I go.

Prejudgement seeps out of their pores...
Ive decided.. Ive learned...
I just ignore

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
