    Die...

    Her gaze held his,
    and he could feel her understanding
    she would watch him die,
    and not be demanding,
    as a single tear invaded his eye,
    she knew the reasons why,
    after a moment her shoulders slumped,
    she turned away,
    his emotions were dumped,
    as she had nothing else to say,
    and he jumped,
    the expression on her face
    had changed from that of disgrace
    to a frown of worry,
    then reality hit in a hurry,
    with a lowly sigh,
    she slowly whispered,
    die...
